The girl who was no one, the girl who was gone

Silently she disappears

beneath her shroud of black

Still no one realizes how deep their insults cut

She

   tries

        to

          cry

             out to them

but their laughter drowns her out

Will

    they

        ever

            see

               the pain

they're causing her to feel?

She's all alone, but no one cares

Her parents too busy fighting with each other

to notice the mess her blood makes on the floor

She

   just

       wants

            silence

No more laughing, jeering, shouting

So

  she

     found

          her

             last escape

One last click, and then a roar

teh soft tinkling of scarlet rain

Finally she found her quiet place

And

   no one

         even

             cared

Author's Notes/Comments:

hehe...another emo one...and I still rather like it! the form, the rhyme scheme, all that good stuff...it's all about how those stupid bitchy girls at school and work don't seem to notice how their harmless gossip really hurts and cuts deeply no matter how much you "don't let it bother you"...and while parents are allowed to fight from time to time, when they're too busy in their own damned relationship crisis to notice their daughter is in serious pain...well...for some people there really seems to be only one escape...luckily for me, I was saved just before I hit rock bottom...
