"Smm"

Folder:
Happy

I never saw it coming,

I never gave it thought.

How funny life's becoming,

With all the times we've fought.

It's suddenly so different,

We're not the kids we were.

It's not that we're much older,

I think we're just more sure.

We've got much more in common,

We've both got much more time.

We've learned to stop the drama,

My poems don't need to rhyme.

We've learned to give much better,

We've learned to take much less.

We've learned to stop pretending,

We've learned how to confess.

Now, maybe I'm mistaken,

Or maybe just plain wrong.

New problems may awaken,

But we've still got our song.

It's not that this is perfect,

And, it may never be.

But, still it seems fantastic,

Cuz it's just you and me.
