Firefly

Folder:
Other

Though we met suddenly,

I feel like I owe something,

but what could it be?

You came in all new,

unaware of what to do,

a new job that pondered you.

So I've loved, I've served,

I've been true to you,

where you've been a new keeper,

of my firefly which almost died.

It glows in the night,

hovering above me,

emblazing a divine light,

like a tide coming to shore,

over and under in its course.

"Firefly glowing so bright,

I never want to lose you!"

With you,

a new congregation,

telling me go forward in life,

which I've finally found,

& I thank my divine firefly,

for keeping me alive tonight.
