Venting the feelings

What I feel today

I live for the other person,

I want to see them smile and laugh.

But how can I live when I can't smile back?

I put on a fake smile and a fake mask,

people see me but im looking back.

I go out to help people.

but how can I help myself?

when enough pessure is on me

to help everyone else.

One time I helped myself,

I broke a womens heart.

We were going to be world's apart

and It could of stayed.

But my selfishness turned love away.

I always wanted to be something,

someone, to be remebered by.

Have something written down in history,

when my time passes by.

I think that time has passed,

because I'm looking on.

All I see is a dessert,

because I am no one.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Well this is my first every attempted of writing something down of how I feel for that day. It did feel good to vent even when i didnt want to type it out. Be as harsh as you want with critiquing, I don't mind. This is my first ever attempt at poetry as well so I just winged it and see how it goes.
