Aphotic places of the heart.

Tell me why it is my dear, that you don’t come around no more.

I think it’s something to do with you,

not loving me no more.

And tell me why it is my dear, that you prefer her over me

Would you say, it’s some nonchalant quirk

Don’t say you love her more than me.

Cause suddenly this entire world -

the entire world is paper thin

And you have taken everything

So nothing now means anything

In my dreams I see you laying,

by her side while she’s asleep.

Running fingers through her hair,

And it’s this image that I keep

In sorrow and In bitterness

Reminding me that we’re apart.

There’s nowhere for this hurt to go

In aphotic places of the heart.

Aphotic?

Gotta look that one up. Liked the poem, sad kinda. Hope this fades in time ~allets~

Describes those parts of the ocean not reached by sunlight or plants that grow there without photosynthesizing. Aphotic as a poetic expression is really nice.
