Lonliness

Lonliness and its darkest waters,

swept me up to the shore,

Til I did not know myself anymore.

And looking around for a friend-

I learnt only to act, only to pretend,

To protect my heart

And to hide my face.

Lonliness has done this to me.

What's the need to pretend

Your poemm made me wonder how people can afford time for loneliness. Crows, sparrows & pigwons give me company even at break of dawn. Best wishes . Be unlonely. Sprread words

Nice piece though I don't

Nice piece though I don't resonate with the last line. We do it to ourselves by closing up and putting trust in to accounts too easily thinking it will be safe there.  It won't.  And that's fine. It endless currency thee is always more of it. Take the risks but accept the falls they are the most beautiful opportunities to explore life. So smile more talk to strangers more, help more loneliness is a self inflicted state and easily Un doable by choice as it was first done :) keep writing I read hugss

Easily Cured

Visit a relative or a friend and talk for hours. Have parties And reunite with old chums. The poem hit me square between the writer's eyes. : )
