somewhere down the line

did you swallow a demon

one piece at a time

did it eat your self esteme

vulture on your self belief

And extinguish any thoughts

That you ever had for me.

did it crawl through your ear

til it thought that it might find

a place to make itself at home

growing hell inside your mind.

Did it consume any reason

for you to carry on

Silence the voice that told you

Just hold on, hold on.

Did it look you stead-fast in your fear.

And tell you that you're scum?

Wrong,

It was so wrong.
