I watch our
sad story unfurl.
You think me bitter
even cold
lost in these
feelings of old.
You want the TRUTH
well here it goes
though I see the real me
you don't know.
I never hated anyone
but the person in the mirror
for never knowing all the things
that to you just seemed so clear.
I was never cold, just weary
of fixing this wounded heart
and the BITTERNESS did not appear
but was there right from the start.
I'm glad to see your happy
It's what I WANTED all along
and what I want in days to come
when you do find me gone.
