A Fading Light

Dear friend

It hurts to see you this way

I can not see your face

But I see it in your words

I see you’re

Hurting so much with

Blood filled teardrops

Beginning to fall

We watch as

With each passing moment

Your soul blackens even more

Turning form warm and caring

To cold and unwilling

Unwilling to fight

The evil that binds you

Dwelling in this pain and sorrow

You push us away

In your time of need

We will not go

We will stand and fight

We will not let you go

You are our friend, brother

We will not let your soul

Turn forever dark

Together we will fight

This evil

And lighten the path home for you

Where you will be welcomed

Home with open arms

This is for you my friend, my brother
