Crafting an Image

We create an image for all to adore

One that is strict to abide by social law

We create an image off the resultant word

What they may have said, what they may have heard

We create an image that is bitter to our tongues

But what is your body if you have donated your lungs

We create an image, lifeless to be near

No palate for emotion, no skin for a tear

We create an image that ties us to the Earth

For it is this image that has smothered our worth

stunning..........

I love the other worldly way you wrote this. is likely from direct translation from your own mother tongue but in this case it makes the poem so much better than if it had been written in standarized English. I am inspired, Bravo poet! Bravo! Sincerely, Melissa
