Leave Me Be

Treat me tomorrow, today I must sleep

Lend me a cry, I'm senseless to weep

Cut out the day to smother the light

Bury me deep to darken my night

Don't talk to me as I push you astray

Leave me be. No joyous goodbye.

Left in a dingy, littered bag

Destined to rot among the half-smoked fags

Finally. A tear, but not one of worth

A tear to resent the day of my birth

Now cover my ears with the rest of the waste

All I want is silence.

Expel my hearing and make me blind

Leave me to sulk then see what you find

Crack open my fossil and scrape out the dross

And lay me to abhor the pain and the loss

Black are the streets in respect of the certain

The day I dreamt is the day I dread.
