*She Isn't Me

She always smiles when you're near

She laughs at all your jokes

She doesn't even see other guys

She is never late

She always waits for you

She doesn't mind when you don't call

She goes to all your games

She loves the sports you play

She works around your schedule

She doesn't expect flowers

She doesn't need little notes

She doesn't want small gifts

She always lets you talk

She never complains when you're busy

She doesn't care when you cancel plans

She enjoys your music

She gets along with your family and friends

She gives you all you want

She requires nothing in return

She adores you unconditionally

She never starts an arguement

She is perfect

She isn't me

Author's Notes/Comments:

I wrote this just after a breakup and my ex had quickly found someone else. They didn't last long.

I'm very sorry to hear what your ex did. I hope all is well for you from hear on out. Some men can't seem to get past the phase in a relationship where the differences become more prounouced that those wonderful things that drew us together. As you can see from his failed next relationship, he still doesn't get it. Take Care

Wonderful poem! This is a perfect example that no one is perfect.
It's a good thing that "she" isn't you. It would be sickening to be that way.
Keep up the great work and keep writing!
