Dead Rose

Folder:
Poems 2004

A part of me has died today,
Lies exposed for what they were,
The mask was ripped from my smiling face,
Exposing truths hid long before.

Lips lined in ruby blood,
I am addicted to the abuse,
Let me lie in my bloody corner,
Waiting for another dose.

Death is smiling at me,
Hatred owns your soul,
Creator of your own destruction,
Yet I still feel its toll.

Close my beggar's coffin,
You always hurt the ones you love,
You are my beautiful sin,
The dead rose in my sea of blood.
