Another stupid day

For another stupid year

Lonely again

Times so depressing



Thoughts come to mind

Are the blades sharp enough?

Will the rope hold me?

Where are my pills?



Hilltops all around

Couples in deep embrace

Sipping champagne

The warmth of the rise



Don't fool yourself

There is no one for you

Wish I could just sleep through

Only to hear them gloat



Find anyone and surround yourself

Shake off the cold

Don't look for feelings

Just enjoy the company



Spontaneous excursions

Dull the pain

Drink away my sorrow

Laugh like no tomorrow



Cry and hold another

Tears shed for my true love

Her name echoes from my slumber

Night air pierced by my dreams



One day's recklessness

Filled by another of emptiness

The good is gone

The loneliness returns



Another year survived

Stupid traditions passed by

Longing pains subside

Days without meaning fill my life
