as the night shadows creep away
leaving a peaceful light
as I look upon your gentle face
I love you in the morning
as the sun peeks over the mountain
shedding its warmth upon the earth
as I feel your kisses upon my lips
I love you at noon
as the heat shimmers in the distant
mesmerizing me with its dance
as I savor your caresses upon my skin
I love you just before dark
as the katydids fill the night with music
singing me a sweet melody
as you whisper luscious promises in my ear
I love you when the stars twinkle above me
as we walk together in the moonlight
clasping hands in the silver beams
as the miles between us disappear
I love you just before sleep
as I close my eyes in peaceful dreams
holding you close to my heart and soul
as I keep you warm on a cold, winter night
I love you always
come sunshine or rain
For you are tucked away
inside my heart for eternity
