Looking Up

Folder:
God (Inspired by)

When we live in the past,

all we do is become

filled with regret.

If we do not learn

from our mistakes

the first time we make them

we can get caught

in the cycle of repetition.

We cannot live

in the future either

because when we do

worry will drive our thoughts.

We must look up

and trust God to

watch out for us

and teach us what

we should take away

from the past.

That is so true. I often say that nostalgia is poisonous if taken in large quantity. I like the flow of your poetry. It is very readable.
