Twilight beckons day.

The sky brightens with pastel colors.

The world speeds up

at the start of another day.

We wake up to the sun

filtering through opened curtains

as it casts a glow on our lives.

Twilight beckons night.

The sky lightens with pastel colors.

The world slows down

at the end of another day.

We lie down to the moon

filtering through closed curtains

as it casts a shadow on our lives.

Author's Notes/Comments:

FYI: twilight is the time between dawn and sunrise, and between sunset and dusk.

"twilight" does indeed refer to the period in the evening between sunset and darkness....also known as "dusk", but not to the similar period in the morning between darkness and sunrise, known as "dawn".
