Sinking in Tears

Spent months

sinking in tears

thinking I could

drown your memory

but it always

rose to the surface.

There it was today

like a bottle

washed ashore

with your message inside.

Your voice

once so familiar

came through my mind

in waves and waves.

And then you

came to me

walked right

out of the sea

and poured over me.

Like a tsunami,

I thought the tears

would flood my heart

but somehow

it didn't.

Somehow the tears,

they washed me clean

and made me see

everything more clearly.

"And then you came to

"And then you

That is one of the most beautiful, powerful visuals I've ever had the pleasure to read.
