Road Rage

As soon as I get behind the wheel,
anger courses through my veins.

My blood boils with blatant rage
as I boldly weave in and out of traffic
avoiding slow drivers.

My lead foot causes trouble
everywhere I go;
I speed through yellow lights
without hesitation.

I am a magnet for stupidity on the road,
attracting everyone near me
who is incapable of obeying motorist rules.

Rarely do I curse in my daily life
but my lips utter obscenities like a drunken sailor
while in the driver's seat.

But as soon as I reach my destination
I take a breath to calm myself
and return to my regular state.
