My boyfriend's chain

I remember a white day, clear as his eyes, it was almost November and we were standing close to the edge. He was wearing a blue shirt, which highlighted his eyes, with a pair of black jeans and a blue chain around his neck. I was curious enough to ask why he was wearing it, and he only told me he liked how it looked and the game it represented.  Days passed and I looked at him sadly, it was a yellow day, with the sun almost looking above us telling that everything that is done will be exposed sooner or later. When this happened, he hugged me from behind telling me that clearer days will come, we only had to wait for the sun to hide to see the stars guiding each step. He was wearing his chain again and I asked him why he didn’t let it in home for once and he told me it reminded him about the three goddesses the shield has and how all was related to me. Wisdom, courage and power were the aspects represented in that shield and I remembered how we would spend our afternoons playing and joking around together. His glace reminded me how a lion to his prey and I was scared about what he could tell. And again, we were standing close to the edge, the grass stayed quiet for a while and he looked me in the eyes. His words where whispers, I shivered and stayed still until I finally decided to hear him. His words became hugs and his smile was mine. He held me closer and told me to close my eyes. I was afraid because closing my eyes was closing the possibility to know what was next, and so, I decided to trust him. I felt his hands in my neck as he let go something that wasn’t heavy or light, it was just the perfect size. When I looked down I saw his chain around my neck and I asked him why. His words were that he liked how it looked on me.  And then, I understood. I told him I didn’t want to wear his chain because it was something he liked enough to wear it each day. He only told me that it was in a better place within me. The last thing that I remember on that day is when he looked straight at me and said that with the chain I would have a part with him for a longer time.
