Butterfly Wings

Butterfly, flutter by

On a carefree day,

For who can resist

As the wind will assist

In blowing you merrily away

Just as your wings,

Such delicate things

Beat pale and bright

In a shower of sun,

So will my heart

From weariness part

As through the green grass I run.
