Once it seemed possible,
You shared the emotion,
Though you slowly receded,
Like the tide to the ocean,
I tried to catch up,
To try and swim in,
The current pulled back,
And swept me to sin.

You write very well, quite succinct. I read a few of yours and they were just lovely. Very well crafted and original. I loved the last line in this poem 'and swept me to sin'
