My Dad's Polo Shirts

My dad’s polo shirts

My dad is the most neat and organized person I have ever known, and I’m pretty sure I inherited that from him. It is actually kind of funny how my mom would brag about the fact that she never has to pick up shoes or clothes spread all over the room, because everything is actually were it is supposed to be at all times. He used to have a slightly obsession with purchasing polo shirts, even though he says that is not true, that has gone by over the years. They were all placed on a small compartment of the closet, well I guess is not that small, very perfectly folded. Every color, shape, texture or design, you name it and he had it in his stack of shirts. He takes such good care of his clothes, that his collection is very carefully organized by color (well I guess it’s not a collection for him but I like to call it that way). I remember when I was very young I used to believe that he had thousands of them and I would go into his closet and observe them as if it was supposed to be entertaining and I’m sure that my face reflected pure amaze. I don’t know why but I could stare at his polo shirts’ collection for a really long time without getting bored, and I think that that’s where my love for clothes came from. My dad actually has the best taste when it comes to clothing and I can say that some of my favorite clothing pieces were bought by him. I actually used to take all of my cousins into my parents’ closet just to show them the huge polo collection that seemed endless and I’m pretty sure they were also very truly surprised. In fact, my dad’s side of the closet is bigger than my mom’s! Ever since I can remember I’ve wanted to count them to see how many shirts he has, and I really don’t know why I haven’t done that yet, but I’m pretty sure I will soon. My mom once tried to count them all, but I think she got tired halfway. I recall someday I asked him about his shirts and why he had so many of them, but it backfired me. He told me I had too many clothes and he had a point. Still I think that he has even more than me.
