Have you ever felt, unimportant?
Like people pretend you matter,
To make you feel better
Have you ever felt, in the way?
Like you’re always being ran over,
Or everyone has set you on ‘ignore’?
Have you ever felt, useless?
Like no one needs you
And you’ll just mess it up
I have, and it makes me sad
To think of these things
And yet, I wonder
Have you ever felt, at home?
Like you belong,
And people want you to stay
Have you ever felt, part of a family?
Like they need you,
As much as you need them
Have you ever felt, love?
Like nothing else matters,
Except this pure joy
I have, and that makes me happy
To think of these things
