My grandfather's fishing kit

I remember when I was very young my grandfather wanted me to like fishing, I really didn’t seem to understand it so I didn’t hear him. I can remember that he had a big box with useful fishing stuff and many different kinds of fishing rods. He had many camping clothes because he liked nature a lot. Every time I could see his keychain he had hanging this kind of plastic fishing bait. So I could say he was a fishing fan. When I needed some equipment for some kind of camping of mine, the first person to ask to was my grandfather. Time passed by and he often invited us to go fishing with him but I usually was to busy or wasn’t interested about it. My grandfather, he was a really good example for me, because he was a really nice and pacific person I could see. So I thought that fishing might be a factor for that person that he was. He always told my cousins and me that fishing was a way to relax and think about life. He has now five years since he passed away, and his passion with fishing and loving nature is one of the things that I will never forget. I guess that after he passed away, I began to love nature more than yesterday. I remember so well that some months back before he passed away, my cousins, uncles and me went fishing to South Padre Island with him. It was one of the last bonding times that I had with him, and I remember that he teach me everything I needed to know about fishing. He teach me about different kinds of baits, how to hold the fishing rod, and basically how to fish as well. I haven’t gone fishing anymore, but I think it was one of the activities that I could only do with him. When I grow older I think I will teach my kids how to fish, just to commemorate the teachings of my grandfather and his love for fishing. I’m now regretting not going fishing often with him, I think I would have known a lot from him if I did. I think if I look into my grandfather’s things, I could still find all his fishing stuff and all that he loved. So the fishing kit is one of the things that I mostly remember of him.
