Ripped Apart

Folder:
[2004] Friendship

You and I are best friends,

but fate has ripped us apart.

You stood by my side,

this whole year.

And I’m thankful for that.

I want to cry out,

but I know it won’t help.

It’s just complicated.

I need you by my side,

but we’re ripped apart.

Life goes on

and we can’t be

together forever.

But it hurts,

I still need you.

I can’t stand this.

I hope you’ll still

be by my side.

‘cause I’ll miss you.

We’re ripped apart.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I wrote this poem, because my best friend and I are separated from each other, because of our studies.
Now we have to attend different school, and that really sucks!
She helped me survive this passed school year, because we had a hard time.
Trouble with teachers & classmates. And now we can’t see each other as much anymore.

Hey Clayton!! thanks for signing my geustbook, i'm just getting started with this poetry thing, and I am slowly getting the hang of it!! I can empathize with you on this poem, I moved from michigan to Georgia and my best friend lives in MI still. I hardly ever get to see her. But we're still best friends!!!
