Tears Of Each

Folder:
Nature Poems

Taller than mountains

Smaller than trees

Deeper than oceans

Oh, to be free

Unearthing dead seeds

I know will still grow

So tender and fragile

Through many fallen snow

They will grow tall

The roots will grow deep

Agonizingly bitter

Leaves fall to their sleep

Resting upon cold stones

Withering, fragile, thin

Until no more shade

The sun peeks in

Sending warmth in gentle peace

Strengthening in radiant glow

Nighttime falls again

Where did my warmth go

Dreaming of mornings

Filled with fresh sleep

Capturing memories in heart

Memories, mine to keep

Forgetting lifetimes

Mountains can't reach

Oceans can't hold

The tears of each

Water ripples quietly

From a nearby stream

Close to the heart of the tree

Winds blowing, gently dream

The return of the sun

This darkness will fade

To help through the maze

Splendor of daylights shade

Keeping me safe

For this moment in time

Holding me, I can not fall

Fear no longer mine

Imagining your mercy

Holding me until grown

As during winters cold sleep

Protected seedlings sown

Waiting for the sunshine

To guide them on their way

Reaching for the sky

Beginnings of a new day
