Double Standard

Folder:
My thoughts

Every so often

things we cannot

control, happens.

The person that we are,

are defined by our actions.

We choose to act

upon the characteristics

we have.

But doing so,

can jeapordize

the relationships

we have.

Take me,

a conversationalist,

someone who opens up

easily.

Now, I am

not an iniatator,

but can carry a good

coversation at length.

I am a friendly

and out going guy.

But for some odd reason,

these  traits betray me.

These actions are not accepted

by all.

By many.

These actions put

fear in women,

who take things

the wrong way.

From a simple conversation,

it doesn't mean I will

iniate anything more

than talk.

But that is not my issue,

my concern is,

why does this happen?

Why am I a creepy or

wierd guy because of

the way I carry myself?

What if it was a guy

who was attractive,

that the woman liked?

Would that change her

opinion of similar actions

by a likable man?

Why is one's actions

deemed unacceptable,

and another's identical

motions accepted?

This is what I do not understand,

maybe I missed the boat,

maybe I do not see things clearly,

all I see is a double standard.

I think it's about the

I think it's about the connection. If the connection is right those same actions may be acceptable. All depends on that...
