some wear chains as a style

and you are a company advertisement

the same ones that took job oppurtunity

(the same ones who had blacks pluck cotton)

the same ones crippling the global economy

(the same ones who have children workers)



you swear opression is safety

you soon welcome threatening inventions

the same ones used on your fellow citizens

(you laugh about them "getting theirs")

the same ones crippling foreign parents and children

(you sing courtesy of the usa)



you're either proud of the streets

and/or absorbed into the tv

or you're proud of the fleets

which is cheering their bombing

and you are who i hoped you weren't all along

the same ones that took the oppurtunity

the same ones to cripple freedom of the other



if it benefits you - did it benefit you?

and some say he must be like bush

and so they support barack

who wants an afghanistan push



and we act like there's a difference

and pretend we don't hear it

when the bells of death chime

in language clever or senile



so obama called for a draft there

under lights of a university

and it was backpaged

cause the news decides our vote



cause we decided to listen

not that it makes a difference

give me liberty or give me death

not a ballot with two puppets



cause 300 people own half the country

and such people and their friends

own so much of the world

it's a chess board and yes,



you are a pawn...



but you made that choice when you decided

cluelessness was alright

when you listened to strangers with money to gain

to gain off of lives

rather then a friend or stranger just trying to save

save you from hitting your head

bleeding to death or starving somewhere

being shipped off to kill people and die
