The Demon's Cavalier

Folder:
Song Lyrics

Watching from her tower,

At the knights in shining armour.

Their shields of hollow promises,

And swords they say won't harm her.

Backing down, and looking far,

Her blades are fully drawn.

Set to defend her castle walls,

From the knights that come at dawn.

A demon child, this demon child,

That hides her heart and soul.

Fighting against the "love" emotion,

Afraid she'll lose control.

Catapults with fire balls,

Defend her sheltered heart.

Arrows fly within the sky,

Though soon they break apart.

Blood is spilled and tears are shed,

The mourning of their sorrows.

Flash of red drips from her sword,

Her fangs bare through tomorrow.

A demon child, this demon child,

The soldiers run for cover.

She smiles grimly at the sight,

For there's not one that would love her.

Out of the darkness, through the night,

A figure stands before her.

Not afraid of the blades she bares,

As he slips across the border.

Her dull eyes narrow, with mild surprise,

Admiring his mere boldness.

Set to drive away the cavalier,

With her set coldness.

A demon child, this demon child,

A curse in her own lies.

This foreign cavalier,

Invades her kingdom with his guise.

Slipping through the shadows,

Her blade starts flying through the air.

Crashing down against his chest,

And yet a smile he bares.

Staggering back, and then goes forth,

A volley of aggression.

But still the cavalier evades,

Her with a calm expression.

A demon child, this demon child,

Wearing herself down.

Her soul is withering with each strike,

Within her tired town.

The cavalier steps up to her,

Lending her a hand.

The fallen warrior refuses help,

Despite the dying land.

A smile so sweet, for her eyes to meet,

He helps her to stand tall,

And gently he escorts her,

Into their kingdom walls.

A demon child, this demon child,

Her kingdom falls apart.

To the subtle cavalier,

With his gentle smiling heart.

A demon child, this demon child,

At last admits defeat.

And in her new beginning,

With her king, she's now complete.
