I stand back and watch

Waiting for your return

I know you will

Since Ive been there from the first

I know youll come running back

And I'll comfort you as you cry

Ill be there and forgive it all

Ill try to forget

The way you betrayted me

I feel for your trick

Opened up for the first time in so long

Yet I knew my fears where valid

And the past would rear its head

And as all the others before

I watched as another lured you away

After all Im just the pillow

The one who guids your way

Im the one there when you need me

Yet always tossed aside

For someone more interesting

For someone easier to manipulate

For someone who seems to be better in some way

Youd think Id be used to it by now

Used to this betrayal

Used to the lies

Used to the hurt

Yet for once agian the pain is back

Just wanna go numb agian

Yet I knew this was coming when I opened up

Guess one day I learn my lesson

And keep my mouth shut

My heart closed
