plunder your own temple

it takes everything you got

for granted

planted seeds of doubt

"life is a test of faith"

she says as if i'd disagree

and yeah, i have faith,

just not in being happy.

what a long, long drive

through endless drought

seas of discomfort crash

dysphoria of colliding lives

mined my mind for all i'm worth

i'm tired and the truth hurts

like a sharp knife that you must hold

by the blade

it'll end someday

with bloody hands i cry

it was me who killed christ

and brought him down with i
