I Will Not Stand (For Anymore of this Worlds Insanity)
To those of us
Who live in a darkness
Put upon us
By a society
That would rather not see us
It is time to stand up
Make ourselves heard
By a world
That has gotten
Far beyond
Just absurd
Girls being shot
Just for standing up
For the right to go to school
Presidential candidates acting the fool
It is time time to stand up
To this world of insanity
And say I will not stand for it
No not me
I am glad I see things differently
I am glad I refuse
To give in
To conformity
And for the madness
That does plague
All of society
I will not stand
No not me
But I will stand against
That insanity
As I proudly
Stand for freedom for everybody
And for the peace we
All claim to seek
I will fight for our dreams
So that maybe
One day they might be reality
You're not alone
There are friends amongst you with a similar philosophy,
who wish to see fulfilled your insular prophecy.
Keep writing, uniting, we're just getting started,
Still fighting, igniting, till death has us parted.
