Nonsense In Goblets (Let's)

Folder:
EARLY POEMS

Walrusk's tusks and simple shells

Seal the fire man in the tomb.

The quarried sleep in retrospect

Cinemascopic time; we'll mend

The windmill, lady, so

Simmer down to a boil. Let's

Cut the fish.  Impress the heart

With a toxic shock

And vibrant elbows. Let's

Synthesize the world.

Little cameras, hidden angles

The media's a childless womb. Let's

Legalize the sun.

The sorcerer's apprenticed.

Lice are burrowing

More and more a stampede.

Who will cuff the sorrow?

Who will study the sand?

Medusa's head had many snakes

And each one told a tune like

Riddled patchwork in dormitories. Let's

Follow the snake's cuddle.

I'm charmed

And wracked by lack of sleep.

I'm seeing the angels now.

These men look like alligators. Let's

Lock the zoo's doors.

The party's begun

This nonsense in goblets

These stars on the surface of the sun.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Written in college for a class.
Silly stuff, but some fun lines.
