i have yearned for this day

imagined it so many ways

saved all my courage and might

built up my hopes for this night

what will come of this date?

has it been of chance or fate?

of these questions i don't know

nor do i wish to know

all i want is this moment

i hope it will end the torment

if only for an instant of release

i know that will set me at ease...
