"Warm, Safe Place"   5 ? 1 - 03

I wear a crescent on my chin

A beaming and bright delight

The remains of a warm feeling

And a dream I had last night

I dreamed of skies so blue

Of cotton-soft clouds so white

And in this harmonic view

I beheld such a warm sight

Rising and falling on rolling hills

Floating ever-gracefully near

I never knew I'd see such a thing

But then it's why I'm here

I long for a touch, so soft

I yearn for a voice, ever quiet

I hunger for this feeling, even now

A situation described only as wow

I wish only to hold you close

In a warming and safe embrace

And to look deep within your eyes

To look upon a cherubic face

And with only this in my mind

No thunder or torrents of rain

It is your image, angelic in nature

That burns so vividly in my brain...

Author's Notes/Comments:

a dream in my brain and a grin on my chin, the effect you have on me is heaven.. :-D

Karyn Indursky's picture

I chose this poem because of the title and felt it would comfort me in my time of need. I was ever so delighted when you painted a beautiful picture from my eyes and senses into my emotions. It helped my raindrops stop falling from my eyes and created a rainbow as the sun seeped inn to erase pain for an image of dancing on cotton clouds with angels taking care of me in the love provided by God and His creations. Thank you very much for sharing this poetry with me. It certainly helped me and hopefully others as well.
