Beautiful Sin

Beautiful Sin

By Muriel Palanca

You strangle me in ecstasy.

You close my throat so I can’t breathe.

You hold my hands as we collide.

And through my walls you come inside.

You cut through my lips with the words that I crave.

You crush on my tongue like rolling waves.

And though I want to, I just can’t resist.

You’ve captured me with your dangerous kiss.

You lay me undone on the bed at our feet.

You groan into rhythm as you move above me.

You lead me in darkness as the world slips away.

You enter my soul like deaths’ hallowed grave.

You memorize my every curve in this trance-like dance.

A sweet seduction to play a part in this game of chance.

Leaving a pseudonym so I won’t forget.

Your mouth is a whisper across my neck.

You caress my skin with your sweltering touch,

An ephemeral moment that’s never enough.

You cradle my body with a thrust from your chest,

As your eyes pull me under to where your secrets are kept.

You nudge with insistence as your knee parts my thighs,

Your lust and your power, so hard to deny.

Your blood, like lightning, rushes through my veins.

A silent persuasion for fleeting pain.

You shatter my fortress with your sacred key.

And I lose myself as you take all of me.

You carve your name across my heart.

Like a house of cards we fall apart.

You leave me this promise, this fire burned within.

This cruel taste of longing, and this beautiful sin.
