IN THE WINDOWS OF MY MIND

In the windows of my mind,

I wonder always why,

Life is like this

A huge question mark,

All around us, passing by.

Perhaps sometimes,

We live in the narrows paths

Of life,

And never being sure,

All the time the big questions and

Why's

In the windows of my mind,

I have seen so many times,

A young child grow to man,

And the beauty of a rose that

Blooms and then it dies.

The crystal purity of the rain,

before it falls on the ground.

The wisdom that only comes by

Living life to the full.

In the windows of my mind,

I see the innocence of a baby,

In his  or her eyes,

And the warm and happy smiles

That in the street, somebody flash us by.

And the brief but lasting setting,

Everyday of the sunset and sunrise,

And the beauty of the ever changing seasons.

Right in front my very eyes I see,

The greatness that true love may bring

Forever in  somebody's life,

And the renewal of hopes, and the spirit in fire.

When all that we know for sure, is that

The sky dear, is the limit,

And every day, and minute may remain only

Here in our minds

As a pretty picture,maybe too

In the windows of my mind.

my favorite line is "and every day and minute may lie only here in our mind", loosely quoting. Very nice! Certainly, the recent events of our country reminds us the importance of the moment.

Insightful poem , Dorian... it's always good to step back and look out from our soul...and examine our deeds from afar....serves to reflect more accurately the morality of our lives... Great feelings evoked. i like it. Smilesz.
