Tear Drop

As I cry my eyes turn red

Blurred my vision

Confused by thoughts in my head

As you run down my face

You appearance is clear

No longer safe

Because I can’t hold you inside

Not knowing what to do

Escaped from my eyes

You represent

My joy’s and pain

My sorrow and grief

I am the cloud

In which you rain

I am the fog

But you make up what’s there

Floating around

You are my cares

That I was never aloud to speak

You are the words

That complete me

The sentences unfulfilled

If I didn’t have you

To myself I wouldn’t be real

Or feel pain

I am the cloud

You are the rain

Rain upon my thoughts

Letting me know

They’re real

In times of confusion

You’re all I feel upon my face

Dripping wet

Never to find a place

Wiped away by my hand

Never to return to my eyes

Never to be again

You my tears

Are my best friend

Even though you can’t speak

Without using words

I know you understand me

You always come

When I need you there

Ever so slowly

Emerging

You my tears

Are the most important

Part of me

Making what was unclear

Able to see

To be

To relive

Once again

The only thing

That compares to you

Is my pen

Without you two

I don’t know

What I would do

Bringing me to life

Even dreams that don’t come true

That’s why I dedicate

This poem to you

Not even a person

Can’t read what I write

But see what I feel

Because you come

From my eyes

Even as you dry up

And disappear

I can look at my eyes

And know you were there

As I see the redness

Whether from

Confusion or pain

You drip to get dry

You my tears

Is what it is to cry

The mark on my face

Forever in life

From the day I was born

Until the day I die
