FOREST
Lost in a forest
of tall trees,
not knowing which
path to follow.
Sun streaks flash
through woven branches
giving disjointed signals,
causing my confusion
to be magnified.
Questions...always questions!
Streams of thought
lead to an undergrowth
of blocked vision
where vines of uncertainty
hamper progress,
robbing my ability
to move forward.
Occasionally I stumble
into a clearing
of relief and
am able to relax
my weary mind,
but always the forest
reaches out to entangle,
dragging me back
into a dilemma,
overwhelmed with decisions.
I have lost the compass
which would point
the way out.
Problems....never answers!
ever seeking an escape
from an encroaching forest
of tall trees.
