In deep waters of Doubtful Sound

I live a happy life

free from human influence,

they never cause me strife.

When joy overwhelms me

I give a great big jump.

Keep your busy waterways

where humans garbage dump.



These pristine waters are my home,

these timeless hills stand tall.

As I swim these ocean depths

beneath a waterfall

the seabirds cry their song of joy,

The fishes swim nearby.

In this protected harbour home

there's nought to make me cry.



Please, mankind, leave me to roam

my lifetime in the wild.

I can mate in freedom here,

produce a dolphin child.

Don't disturb this beauteous place

with all your poisoned ways.

Leave the wildlife here in peace

to live out happy days.
