I want someone to look at me as if I am the only one for them,
To hug me close to them because they want me tucked up in their arms,
Lips that move closer and land on my cheek just to feel my skin against his lips,
Hands that thread through mine, showing our hearts are connected.

I want to be one of the reasons a smile forms on his lips,
I want him to love me, not because his obliged too but because he wants too,
Laughter that spreads happiness through my being when I hear his voice,
Warmth felt between us, not only when I am in his arms
but also when I am close enough to him but far enough not to touch.

Our breath will mingle together as we move closer in sync,
A friendship that is formed between us, slowly developing into love,
Heartfelt words spoken between us as though we share a secret,
Courage motivated by each other to help us move forward.

You are much too hard on yourself, this is a beautiful poem and any man that would take the time to see the real you would sense what a passionate and loving woman you are. The love in your heart speaks volumes through your words and any man who desires a sweet lady to love, would no doubt find that in you. Please don't ever give up hope. I don't know your age or anything, but trust me...you'll find that special man who'll love you for who you are and you will know happiness in your heart.
