A Man of Peace

A man of peace should never be

Asked to fight for you and me

A man contented in himself

Must treasure his own inner wealth

If put in the public domain

He'll never be the same again

Cursed, robbed, beaten, soul destroyed

He'll wish that stealth he had employed

His own best friend he'd be for years

For it's the mass that brought him tears

And like a wolf that's left the pack

He must follow his own heart's track

And with some good luck on his side

One day he'll find to be his bride

The she-wolf who can understand

Why he obeys his own command

And if that day should never come

He'll still be his own companion

And live on mountains with the trees

And bless the stars and earth and breeze

A man of peace should never be

Asked to fight for you and me

A man contented in himself

Must treasure his own inner wealth
