Whispered Words

Whispered Words

With whispered words, we conspire,

to quench this fervored new desire.

Seeking respite from the world.

In sanctuary, hearts unfurled.

The coolest touch on fevered skin.

Yes, touch me, touch me, once again.

Burning passion, desire's tingle.

Perspiration pools as bodies mingle.

Our hearts in tempo, breathing merged.

Anticipation without a word.

Later as pulses return to norm,

I sleep upon your chest so warm.

Perhaps to dream of future delight.

Or reminders of this treasured night.
