Love Letters (in progress)

Old love letters tied with a bow, and kept inside a box.
New love letters--email---secured by encrypted locks.
We keep our sweethearts' letters to remember days gone by.
Cause although they're gone, the love remains, even if we don't know why.

So nostalgically in solitude, the letters are reread
Perhaps on lonely afternoons, or when others have gone to bed.
Hand written letters precious, are so wonderful to hold,
as fingers caress the written words and cologne scents every fold.

To be continued......

Oh, boy! This one is nice. I burned about 200 love letters one time. They were the ones I wrote to him. He never wrote enough for me to bother with keeping them. I finally wised up and fired up that old grill and bar-b-qued them suckers. lol

I also have some very precious emails and letters tied with ribbon and safely tucked away. Ahhhhhh, Love is sweet. So is this poem.
