This world of tarnished oppulence

disturbs the mind of many a men.

Total disregard for society

Extreme putrification of morals,

terrify parents raising up children.

The devil incarnate gathers souls by the thousands.

Where have the helpful & cordial  disappeared?

Gone into the land of I, me, & mine.

The 'do unto others, before they do unto to you'.

If only we could return to the good old days.

I couldn't have said it better. I feel the same way. I can remember when I walked 2 miles to school through the back way down the railroad tracks and KNEW that if I didn't wait on my whining brother, Mr. Alford at the little store at the top of the hill would tell Momma. We have so much to be thankful for. Memories of a better time. EVERYBODY took care of everybody else's kids on a mill village, and you minded Mrs. Bailey just like you did your own Momma. She was just as much an authority figure as relatives. You know, I've thought this a lot of times. The sixties nearly destroyed this country. Now see what you did and you thought it was tough? Girl, you got on that soapbox and preached.
