Sorry

An empty sorry.

Echoes through the air.

An escape.

Growing faint to the ears.

Uncover its meaning.

Pain hidden beneath.

Sadness approching the surface.

Whispears appear.

Deceit bouncing around.

Listen to the calls.

Words evoke emotions.

Drain them gone.

A blank face.

An empty smile.

I love the fact that the lines are so short and broken. As a bunch of single, nonsensical, and incomplete sentences they make little sense. But when they're viewed as a whole they all make completely perfect sense. The grammar police would hate this poem, but the poets would love it; is what i'm trying to say i guess haha. BTW thanks for reading and commenting on my poems. Thought i would return the favor : )

We'll just keep writing 'til there's nothing left to write.

We'll just keep waiting 'til they read all our works left to right.

sorry is a formality that suggests an intent to make amends, like someone calling 'wolf'. it's always nice to hear 'i'm sorry' after someone has intentionally injured us, but that's really all it is...'nice'...a coutesy too often said and not done.

"No", she replied, "but I have experienced it. "

Indeed, a formality. I

Indeed, a formality. I actually do not like hearing sorry because often times the quicker somebody says sorry the faster they are to prove they aren't. You always get me :p

Conveyance

So much in such short lines - that hold the poem together and present the emotion (the ultimate hmmmmm...) sincerity as the opposite - sorrow and smile balance nicely ~Allets

Smiles are faked just as easy

Smiles are faked just as easy as a "sorry" is faked. One can hurt others, one can hurt yourself.
