Today I'm lonely in this place
No one to talk to, so full of disgrace
Sitting here with nothing but my thoughts, can't erase
All I can do is pace, pace, pace

My mind is reeling I can't slow it down
Thinking of sadness and loss, I frown
I have dark thoughts to no end
All I can do is smile and pretend

Though at times my sadness will abate
It's never long enough to get me to stay
I will slowly, slowly, fade away
