Eternal Rest

No need for this emotion

To a better place he travels

Clean yourself of this notion

With our eyes looking to the heavens we sing

But what for? Life is the end, and death it will bring

Can’t accept it, it’s too much to bare

When you lose someone you want to believe they are still there

It’s our way of coping

Makes death something beautiful

Let cancer be our new God

To fight death is futile

What separates us from the others, we are no better than a virus

Because we have intelligence we believe ourselves above the rest

We will not go to heaven

There is no eternal rest

when will we stop believing

that we are the best

Author's Notes/Comments:

This is about how I beleive there is no Heaven or Hell. I beleive that we as humans think too highly of ourselves; just because we have a more powerful brain than anything else that we will go to heaven, but why are we better than something like a mouse? Heaven also seems to be sometihng made up to help us cope with death.
