Happy Thoughts

Folder:
LOVE POEMS

Green meadows, wind on my face,

What wondrous endowment of grace!

Sun setting on azure sky,

As friends and lovers pass by.

An evening walk in the park,

Remembering my spirit.

Of love, friendship and freedom,

Celebrating life as it is.

I missed this kind of feeling,

Can't keep myself from smiling.

As I sit on the soft grass,

Palms pressed on the soil, relaxed.

I think of yellow roses,

Of little kids and fireworks.

I think of cotton candies,

Of rainbows and butterflies.

I think of bright city lights,

Of Christmas, birthdays, holidays!

I think of happy noises,

Of ice cream and pink balloons.

I think of wishes, of stars,

Of prince and princes in a castle.

I think of peace, of equity,

Of sharing and of unity.

I think of laughter and hope,

Of finding love, of finding you.

I think of hugs and kisses,

Of goodtimes and happy endings.

As I lay on this green grass,

Feels like home, though I am away.

Breathtaking thoughts, come what may,

Let this smile last for another day.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Wrote this after a long walk in my university's "Sunken Garden". Beautiful day. ~jerlin
